My weekly routine and my neighborhood by Carlos Andres Osorio

Although I always go to college on weekdays, everyday are so different for me. For example on Monday I don't have any class, but I go to the university to study with my classmates. I always have something to do, something to study. On Tuesday and Thursday I usually get up around seven o'clock, I take a shower, I get dressed, I have the breakfast, and I brush my teeth. Later, I study at home before go to college. In this days I have class from ten o'clock to two o'clock. Then I have lunch with some friends and after that, I often have to study more and then I go to the gym two hours. I really like exercise because is good for health and I enjoy it. I come back home at eight-thirty. I have the dinner in front of the TV. I always do that. I love a sitcom called “The Big Bang Theory”, It’s so funny. Later, I take a shower, I check my e-mail and my social networks, and I go to bed around eleven o’clock. On Wednesday and Friday I get up early, really early because I take a class at 8:00 AM. These days are really hard for me because I spend a lot of time in classes, and I finish them so tired. On Fridays sometimes I hang out with my friends to eat something or drink some beer. I like to go near to Luis Amigó University, Carlos E. Restrepo, or in front of UdeA. When I come back home early I like study my english lessons. On Saturdays I take my english classes. I like it and it’s so important for me, because in my career it's necessary for get a good job. At night I like to go to the disco, my favorites discos are in Lleras Park, Las Palmas and Barrio Colombia. On Sundays I get up late in the morning and I clean my room. When I don’t have something to study, I mean hardly ever, I like go to Parque de los Deseos, Botanic Garden, or any mall. I don’t like to stay at home because I get bored there. Twice a week I swim in my university and sometimes in the stadium. I love swim. It’s my favorite sport.
Now let’s talk about my neighborhood. I live in Manrique Central, it is in the east of the city. It´s near to downtown and It isn’t so far to my college. It’s a quiet place. Manrique has a main Street, “La 45”, it is a commercial zone. There are a lot of fast-food-places, some barbershops, a couple of gyms, some supermarkets and some places for drink alcohol. I never go out in my neighborhood because I don't have friends here, all my friends live far, I mean in others neighborhoods. There is no mall, no park and there are no expensive places. The Metroplus Sistem goes by "LA 45", that’s so good, because is a connection with the rest of the city. Manrique has some schools and a big church. Close to my house there is a soccer field and a small theatre called “Casa Clown”, they have a varied and fun programming. In Manrique, neighbors are very friendly and overall it's a good place to live. I really like it.
